Hearth and Horizon Press was founded to create a warm community, the Old Blue House. My mission to create a fun ,safe story telling experience to promote inspiration and imagination. Each book features a tale of an ordinary experience that mixes a bit of magical imagination to help solve a very ordinary problem.
We as adults , parents, grandparents , educators and mentors are the Old Blue House and pass along advise and wisdom everyday to our children in the most ordinary ways , the goal is to use these books as a bit of fun to turn ordinary into extraordinary!

A few words "About Me"
I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. I was sibling "7" out of "9". Our home was our anchor and our refuge, I still drive by it when I visit Ohio just to reconnect and remember.
I raised my own family of "9" in rural community not far from Toledo. Small farms, big cornfields.
My work experience outside of the home varies from odd jobs to corporate supervisor.
I married young, was widowed way too young.
I was blessed with grandchildren. Many, many grandchildren.
I spent my "empty nest" years obtaining a college education, studied digital art and the science of photography. I relocated to the suncoast of Florida and enjoyed the endless sunshine. I worked as a photographer.
I was blessed to find more love in my life, moved to Northern Ireland, retired from photography, and live there with my husband.
These series of books are a loving gift to my grandchildren and now, their children. My hope is that they make them smile and remember bits of advise from "The Old Blue House" herself.
